Common Law Enterance For Law Institutes Scheduled on 17th MAy 2009

Common Law Enterance exam is scheduled on Sunday, 17th May, 2009 between 3&5 p.m. for admission in 11 law colleges of India. These institutions are

NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU, Jodhpur, HNLU Raipur, CNLU patna, GNLU Gandhinagar, RMLNLU Lucknow, RGNUL Patiala and NUAJS Kochi

Details of exam are

1. The Application Forms are available from 12th January, 2009 at the nominated branches of Indian Bank, State Bank of India and eleven National Law Schools. For SBI Branch Click hereIndian Bank click here.
2. The Application Form can also be downloaded from here or CLAT website and the duly filled-in Form in own hand writing should be sent to CLAT Office alongwith a demand draft for Rs.2,500/- (Rs.2,000/- in case of SC/ST) drawn in favour of ‘Convenor, CLAT-2009 (NALSAR)’ payable at Hyderabad.
3. The Application Form can also be obtained from CLAT office by sending a demand draft for Rs. 2,500/- (Rs. 2,000/- in case of SC / ST with proof) drawn in favour of ‘Convenor, CLAT-2009 (NALSAR)’ payable at Hyderabad.
4. The last date for submission of duly filled-in Application Form is 10th April, 2009.
5. Candidates who wish to apply under Foreign National Category are required to check the instructions and use the Application Form provided for that purpose on CLAT website. For further information and details, candidates are required to visit website of the concerned University.
6. NRI / NRI Sponsored Category:
7. WBNUJS, Kolkata*
8. NRI sponsored seats are available at WBNUJS, Kolkata. Candidates are required to attach the Sponsorship Form along with the Application Form. Candidates belonging to this category will be considered for admission only under NRI Sponsored Category seats for this University. They will not be considered under any other category for admission at WBNUJS, Kolkata.
9. HNLU, Raipur*
10. NRI / NRI Sponsored Category seats are available at HNLU, Raipur. Candidates belonging to this category will also be considered under General Category if they come under General Merit.
11. * NRI / NRI Sponsored Category admission is through CLAT-2009 for WBNUJS, Kolkata and HNLU, Raipur.
12. CNLU, Patna
13. NRI Category seats are available at CNLU, Patna. Candidates who wish to join CNLU, Patna are exempted from CLAT-2009. They are required to contact CNLU directly.
14. Note : Candidates belonging to NRI / NRI Sponsored Category will be considered under General Category for Universities where there is no reservation.
15. The application form (original / downloaded) should not be folded and should be sent in proper size envelope (12" x 9").
16. Candidates are required to attach only photo copies of documents as mentioned in the Application Form.
17. Domicile Certificate: Only those candidates belonging to the States mentioned under Domicile Column are required to submit the Domicile Certificate as National Law Universities situated in those States have seats for the candidates belonging to that State. In case of others there is no need for submission of Domicile Certificate.
18. Application Number: In case of downloaded Application Forms the application number will be allotted by the CLAT Office after receipt of filled in Application Form. Applicants are hereby informed that they can paste the photograph by writing their name at the back side of their photograph with ball point pen.
